NEW LOCATION - NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Pi Day is just around the corner and is shaping up to be an exciting evening! There will be some new changes as well as everyone's lasting favorites.
The new location is the biggest change. Plains Jr allows for a different layout that will help to spread the exhibitors out and give some crowd relief. Exhibitors will be in the main hall, cafeteria, gym, and connecting hallways. This will give a circular flow rather than one long hall like at the high schools. Since there is parking both in front of the building as well as behind we will use both the front and back entrances as well.
In addition to the new layout, we are happy to welcome back the Lakota CARES exhibit and sensory room. This will be a quiet room off the main hall for those that need a quick break from the crowds and sounds of Pi Day.
Pi Day Planning Committee
Pi Day is planned and run by a small group of parents. We are looking for new committee members to help keep Pi Day a success. The committee has limited meetings since the majority of our work can be completed via email. We need to grow our committee in order to help grow Pi Day.
Please contact LakotaPiDay@gmail.com if interested.

LOTS OF EXHIBITORS, LOTS OF HANDS-ON FUN!
There will be a large variety of exhibits and hands on experiences for everyone. Of course everyone's favorite, The Brain, will return. Yes, you will learn about and even TOUCH a real human brain. Don't worry if you don't want to touch a brain, there will be plenty more to do. You can try: archery, construction, astronomy, arts & crafts, and much more. You can learn about robotics, orienteering, and even pet furry animals. There are far too many math and science activities to even begin to list them here.
FOOD AND FUN!
You're sure to work up an appetite during all of the hands on activities. Not to worry, there will be several food trucks cooking up some delicious food. They will be located behind the building just outside of the cafeteria. In the cafeteria you will be able to purchase drinks and pies (it is Pi Day after all!).
There will also be some wonderful raffle baskets in the cafeteria. Be sure to take a look as all of the basket contents are generously donated by our wonderful exhibitors.
